This page writes my experience about studying abroad.

Long time ago.

It was that I want to study abroad considered
at a high school student's time.
Traveling abroad was not still general.
Going to Hawaii by the honeymoon was status.
If it simply says "I want to study abroad"
and to parents It will say."Are you crazy ?"
The sea wants to go to a large large foreign country.
The foreign country had an image called a far place.

The fun of work is known, if it appears in society
and it will graze in several years.
The character "studying abroad" had disappeared out of
when it was and my head which he does not remember.
It will be because work was busy.
(The long rest was not able to be got.)
The company containing me was a brother company
of a major certain company.
Although there are many employees, there are many branches.
If it notices, the branch in Hokkaido will be reached
and the branch in Kyushu will be reached...
There was much transfer anyhow.
(The delicious thing was able to be eaten in various places.）
But, operating extension was carried out too much
at the regrettable thing.
Bankruptcy

After a while, the stripes of nothing were carried out.
But, it does not go to the reason of carrying out nothing, either.
Every day, work was looked for.
In my idea, I thought that the work treating money was good.
I thought that the work treating money was not crushed.
Usually,It is a bank if it is called the work treating money.
But,I imagined the consumer finance company.
The consumer finance company which goes into the best 5
also at home was joined.
Work was easy.
It is good only by sitting on the counter.
It came from custmer.
It was very easy work..
Every day was fortunate.
（Those days, it was an annual interest of 72%.）
But, a good thing does not continue for a long time.
again
Bankruptcy

After a while, it lived on unemployment compensation.
But, there is not necessarily unemployment compensation forever.
And the search for work started.
But, nothing was invented.
I had to look for work.
I went to the job placement office every day.
A certain day,I have a flash.
Dress, food, and a residence are the better.
I believed.
And work was looked for.
But, it cannot be convinced to work of dress and food.

A real estate agent's work was looked for.
But,Since I was an amateur, I did not find a standard.
Then, my idea !
The paper of collection is rounded.
It throws back.
One sheet of paper is held by groping.
And only the company received the interview.
My work is the agent of a real estate company.
Although having said personally was also ridiculous,
this work suited its me.
The salary was also good.
But, my happiness did not continue for a long time.
It is large personnel reduction by corporate reduction shortly.

I thought that I was OK. this time.
My shock was too great.

As for me, for how many months did not carry out the

looked at the pamphlet of linguistic studying abroad in the train.
I remembered having wanted to study abroad, when I was young.
20 years passed.
And the word "studying abroad" was remembered.
Work was not looked for at all at the time.
I was looking at only the book and pamphlets about studying abroad.
It was only the thing of "studying abroad" all the time.
The friend was opposed to me.
I did not hear the opinion of a friend.
(I am a stubborn person.)
I attended the studying abroad recommendation company,
and proposed.
Two - three months was required for departure from
a country from the application.
(Age is caused and there is a difference.)

I do not forget.
19:00 February 26, 1999

It went to Brisbane via Hong Kong from Narita Airport.
No see off
The diary was written.
May it sticks safely!
From Narita, since it was Hong Kong for about 4 hours,
it reached immediately, and it is touch.
Although it is a change in Hong Kong the middle,
Japanese does not pass!
There were those no who can speak Japanese.
It is troubled and a better seed.
A change cannot be performed!
I had the ticket shown and taken.
If it considers, although it is easy now
Although there was waiting time of 4 hours,
it keeps still near the door and is better.
（When becoming the missing child, I thought that it was serious.）
It was not able to catch,
although it was about the boarding announcement.
（A meaning is not understood though it is able to catch.）
I did not understand whether I could ride.
The lady who showed around said.
「ＯＫ！」
（Simple lucidity and I also understand.）
Now, when considering, at least the name was heard at least.

By my command of English of those days
" Wha`ts your name? "
I will say.
（It is impolite.）
" May I have your name,please? "
Immediately, it cannot talk.

Inside of an airplane
When going to Hong Kong, there were many Orientals.
But,
When going to Brisbane, there was almost no Oriental.
It was full of foreigners around me.
"Sayonarano kanatani" of a cool five was hummed.

The meaning of "Sayonarano kanatani" is
"The other side of Good bye".
The Cool five is a famous singer.

♪And it is surrounded by the foreigner,～
♪it leaves alone.～

I think that nobody knows.

In the cause which got tired also mentally and physically,
it is sleeping immediately.
And it arrived at 9:00 Brisbane airport safely on the 27th.
（ofcouse Brisbane time)
(But,Time difference is 1 hour.）
At the airport, when following everybody's flow, it was OK.
Any longer, Is there no fearful thing.？
It thought that those for whom an airport understands
Japanese should have picked up, and searched.
There was a foreigner with the big placard.
(My name was written.)
（A foreigner is natural !）
（I am foreigners rather.～）
Slowly, it approached.
But, OUT !
He was not able to speak Japanese.
He was very kind. it talked slowly.
Somehow, I have understood English.
（???・・・）
He showed me to the homestay place.
（All conversation in a car was English.）
Of course, I also answer in English.
（Only Yes or No・・・）
When it arrived at a homestay place,
what was met was the wife of the house.
（She is a home Mother.）
I greeted by being English of babble.
（Of course, the souvenir was passed.）

I had become the bed around from daytime horizontally.
I did not understand in what should just carry out what.
I met host father at the time of supper.
It is a meal in three persons.
But, conversation did not become lively.
（Because, I did not talk at all.）
No, it is different. I was not able to talk.
It was a quiet meal.
I will go to my room quickly, if a meal ends.

February 28, 1999
It went by the family to do some shopping on Sunday.
with me.
Seemingly, in Australia, he will buy shopping collectively
on Sunday every week.
Therefore, the suitcase of a car filled.
（It is not considered in Japan.）
I can talk with host Mother somehow.
But, language did not pass to host father.
（Because, he talked Aussie English.）

March 1, 1999
A school begins from today.
I came by linguistic studying abroad to Australia.
I had home mother show around to a school
and the receptionist also ended smoothly.
Since it was the first day, there was no lesson.
Where is a bank?・・・etc,

March 4 , 1999
I went with the classmate to the pub, after the school finished.
Two upper classes, one middle class, one beginners' class.
（One beginners' class is me.）
Don't speak Japanese.
All English only
Japanese 4 student is English talking.
Mayby,
It will be were visible to the people which changed
when seeing from the people from Australia.
（They are the foundations of linguistic study.）

March 6 , 1999
I finished wash during the morning.
From the afternoon, it decided to come out to a town.
（A geography relation is explained.）
The place in which I lived is 3 minutes from a Cannonhill station.
The school was 3 minutes from Brunsuwick station.
It is the highest that it is near from a station.
But,The time which is on the train was 30 minutes or more.
I bought pass six months on March 1.
City station is in front of　Brunsuwick.
Becouse,no bye ticket

When it went to the station, the young lady was
waiting for the train alone.
I was sitting on the bench.
I have been spoken to from her.
Are Japanese people new?
Maybe No !!
Does the next train which she has heard go to city?
I thought that it wanted without asking me who come to
Australia and still have only one week earnestly.
I answered that I go.
A little of her reply required time.
It will be because my pronunciation was bad.
I questioned her.
Are you a college student?
She answered it as yes.
The pronunciation of yes resembles Japanese iie (no).
Seemingly, yes will pronounce with iie.
（It is only a young girl.）
The talk was variously carried out until the train came.
She was if it is the half of French people and Germans.
But, it was a thing that only English can be spoken.
I am in French and German. If it says that I love you can be said
（In fact, it can say by eight languages.）
It was answered that she wanted to hear it.
I talked with confidence.
She said.「Good pronunciation.」
Since it hung on the separate sheet after the
train came with regrettable, it is not talking after that.
（It was a little English conversation lesson.）
After arriving at city, the town was merely dangled,
and he went home.

March 7, 1999
Lunch of today became the party in ten persons including
Mother's parents, Mother's younger sister husband
and wife and children, and me.
I like a busy thing. But,
It was annoyed by a question being simultaneously
asked from everybody.
（Aussie does not have a meal by becoming silent.）
The about 3year old girl is very much interested in me,
and was making only the question me.
（It is hard to catch a child's pronunciation.）
The word with a difficult child does not use.
A child does not use difficult grammar, either.
It talks bluntly.
（If you study English, it will act as a child's partner.）
The talk became lively whether my strain was also able to be
solved as the supper of the day is friendly with three families.

There was no lesson on Friday every week.
Instead, there was orientation.
With everybody, age separates too much.
The time of lunch was always eaten alone.
Since all school grounds were English,
there was not a person who speaks to me, either.
Of course, since it addresses from me,
it does not become precocious.
（It is a problem that I cannot speak English well.）
Such a certain day and two woman students have spoken to me.

「Let's go to Noosa together with us.」
The thing of Noosa does not know me.
It is the place which goes all together next Friday.
（There was no mind that I participate.）
The name was not written down in participant list of names, either.
It says to a teacher, hangs down and is so that I may be invited.
It was what is not been "it cannot participate since masa is shy."
Although it is an unavoidable thing with shy me even if taken so,
since almost all people and conversation are not carried out,
although not divided ...
If I refuse politely and you go home,
the father will have spoken to me suddenly.
It was what "It is good in surely going since Noosa is a good place."

It carried out to Noosa (big beach).
（From Brisbane, it is a bus and is 2 hours.）
In the bus, I am seeing video
and did not participate in conversation like everybody.
After arriving in Noosa, it participated in one certain group,
and sea bread and the towel were purchased,
and it swam together with everybody.
（Preparation of a swimming suit had not been carried out.）
When it was in Japan, it had not felt relieved like this.
Everything was happy go lucky in the Aussie style.
The Irish pub was visited with the teacher (the same age as me)
while having returned.
Since half students were minors, they were ON store prohibition.
（Minors cannot go into a pub in Australia.）
（In Japan, if alcohol is not drunk, it is O.K.）
Some people which seem to be fearful were speaking
about the Irish pub into which it went happily.
I thought that it was the race which enjoys conversation.
Of course, a drink is beer!
（Beer is natural in Australia.）
I also ordered XXXX（four X）
A$3 (\240) is cheap with one cup of big glass!
（The rate of those days was A$1=\80.）
It got home safely and the thing of Noosa was told to the father.
It has asked the father in fact.
（The father was still touch that the talk did not suit.）

March 15, 1999
I went out for school return together with the girl
of Shanghai in the city.
Her Japanese was fluent.
Although she was born in Shanghai, she was a thing
with Japanese breeding.
I have heard and been convinced to it.
But, it was good also at English conversation.

March 21, 1999
If I also become this time, it will have got used also to the school.
Even if it is with me myself and young people It was able to
participate in conversation without resistance.
It came to be convinced to English.
（It thinks so. It is only me?）

March 26, 1999
It is orientation and B.B.Q.w is carried out
on a south bank (A near city) today.
And it swam.
(An artificial beach.)
It seems that it became young to the feeling
when it was together with young children.
And physical strength was also rejuvenated ???
Although it was able to become acquainted with much trouble,
it was a thing that it is made to spread and tomorrow
and several students go back to a regrettable thing.
（If there is encounter, there is also separation.）

March 31, 1999
The new student entered and there was class organization.
A change does not have me in the class under No. 1.
（Exactly, although it is the reason which left for one month,
a lesson is interesting recently.）
I thought, in me, in fact, English does not pass at the time
of the beginning, and whatever a friend cannot do and
who may say (it is unavoidable since age is different),
I "would go back" (except and an intention are weak).
I am the translation done so far, though trouble is made
to the surroundings. It is the translation which left for one
month in the feeling of doing one's best, to a slight degree.
If it becomes so, man and avarice will come out.
My English is really how far to go.

April 2 to 4 , 1999
three consecutive holidays.
Miss M I, its two children, one girl of an Aussie.
And it went to ESK by five persons including me.
ESK is the place of 3 hours by Brisbane to the car.
ESK has a big lake and sunset is a very beautiful place.
Miss M I had a big wagon car,
it was able to stack all the members' load.
However, the man was only me,
when it was made to spread and having been thought well.
（Incidentally, children were also women.）
I did all driving of a car.
（I want to cry.）
（I am whether employed as a driver.）
Although my English conversation was completely useless,
it was a person good at English conversation,
so that the quarrel? of Miss M I was completed
in English also to the Aussie.
（Two children were also better at English conversation than I.）
Its way has been lost on the evening
(but the sun has gone down) of the first day.
A private house is nothing, although it goes and goes.

After returning to a hotel and coming by supper somehow,
it is sleeping immediately.
It was started by two children in the next morning.
It is swimming from a morning.
It was a thing that there is a pool and you may use freely.
（But, swimming from a morning had resistance.）
Since it came to ESK with much trouble, it will ride on a horse.
However, it will be a horse why.
（I am because last night was taken by children at the rider.）
Hose riding is the first experience.
But it was very interesting.
And parachute sailing will be carried out.
Again, a car is flown ??
But, I have not challenged a regrettable thing.
Because, I am acrophobia.
（It only looks up from the bottom.）
However, Miss M I is young.
And it went to see the sunset which is this purpose.
（Slightly, it was romantic ??）

April 17, 1999
It is already a potato and one month and more than a half passed.
The English level is not going up at all.
（With this, it is OUT !）

April 22, 1999
In view of surrounding people,
I am a thing that it made progress very well.
Surely, it was lost that it is timid also in front of an Aussie.

April 27, 1999
Although the opportunity for me to say it as an Aussie recently
became, as for many, it seems not to make progress more.
It thought by myself.
I thought that I would carry out the people
and the talk which are not known.
（It may also say and carry out hearing a way
and time may be heard.）
But, courage is just for a moment.
（I wanted and to hear English.）

May 5, 1999
The thing geographical these days was satisfactory.
It does not become a missing child.
（Brisuben is small city.）
Naturally, not only me but other students are the same.
Since I am staying, I have a lockup.
I have to call, when becoming late.
（It is the common sense in the world.）
I used the taxi well, when going home time became late.
Usually in Australia, it sits passenger seat a driver.
Ofcouse, I also sit on a passenger seat.
If it sits on passenger seat, naturally it will talk.
（It was the study of fairly good English conversation.）

May 9, 1999
A mother's parents were coming from the morning and it was busy.
When I was sucking tobacco on the veranda,
"The mother died" was said suddenly.
I thought that the mother died.
But, I thought well.
It is the same pronunciation.
( died ＝ day )
In short, it is "Mother's Day."
I went to the public telephone in a hurry.
And Japan was telephoned.
（Aussie English is not known if it says suddenly.）

May 17, 1999
Although there were those who are studying abroad
also from other countries although it is natural from Japan,
there were a student who is staying by dividing into two greatly,
and a student who lives in the dormitory.
Although a meal attaches a homestay, personally, at all,
a dormitory brews, and if there is nothing, it will not become.
However, there is time to become free.
（Merits and demerits !）
It seems that however, the child who grew up
with my in Japan cancels a homestay simply,
and lives in the dormitory.
Many students had canceled the homestay.
I was also asked by the mother.
Is masa pleased in this house?
I answered in this way.
(I am a member of the family.)
The tear was full of a mother's eyes.
Bordering on this day,
I felt that it became a family's member truly.
And an intention (Language ?) came to lead to a father.
And tableware washing after supper progressed.
It is every day bordering on this day.
A Japanese man does not stand on a kitchen.

June 1, 1999
If it comes to Australia and no less than three months pass,
it is natural that a life style is an Aussie style.
Do I forget that I myself am a Japanese?
I think that such a thing cannot be found.
But, I have got bored with a one-track life.
Although which did not necessarily invite,
it went to the pub with the father.
I had many friends introduced.
I can also say joke now these days.
It laughed,
when remembering that Bruce Willis called it Oh Jeseu
and using instead of Oh my God in Armageddon!

June 4, 1999
The house of Miss L.,E (teacher of charge)
was visited and the dinner party was carried out.

Since she is too dear, it challenges in order
that everybody may embrace her.
But,it will begin to shed tears immediately.
Very much, it became attached to nobody.
After a while, when I had held in fear, fortunately,
she did not cry.
（Unfortunate for her ?）
It was glad when both hands had been turned to my head,
not to mention it.
It was too glad and I had the photograph taken.
I did not try to want to arrange this.
It wails with the flash of a camera.
(The face which cried is dear ! ! !）

June 24, 1999
Today is my birthday.
When it went home, the birthday card from Japan had arrived.
I was really glad.
It is timing just.
（Thank you Miss E, S）
It went to the pub by the family.
（Since the disposition led each other to the father,
I went to the pub well with him.）
But, An Aussie often drink beer.
Beer is drunk for beer on a knob.
I drank the wild turkey.
A wild turkey is a kind of a bourbon.
（Since my pronunciation is bad, a bourbon cannot lead easily.）
But, since it passed along the pub repeatedly,
the counter lady remembered my thing.

July 11, 1999.
Since mother's younger sister's child was a birthday,
the party was carried out.
Although the older child has also already spoken to me
exactly since he was large,
the younger child was a child still more.
It has addressed bluntly to me. Although written above,
when you study English,
I consider that it is better to consider conversation as a child.
It is one portion only after it is known.

July 26, 1999.
Since I am linguistic studying abroad of half a year (24 weeks),
I am ended on August 13.
Is it early that days and months pass?
When thinking that it came for Australia
before for a while merely,
it is a homecoming shortly. If it goes back,
naturally you have to work. (It is natural)
There was my visa till September 27, 1999.
(Half a year studying-abroad +1 month)

If I become these days and I will go back,
I have to look for work. The days considered so increased.
But, however it may worry,
it cannot be in Australia and does not search.
(It is natural)
Then, the Japan-Australia press (newspaper for Japanese) etc.
was often read. Independently,
it is not in the reason for having wished to work in Australia.
But, it was a Japanese teacher's advertisement
which was seen there. What is a Japanese teacher?
And if spare time was found,
a Japanese teacher's thing was investigated.

How is what is necessary just to carry out,
in order to become a Japanese teacher?
1, those with the necessity of going to a
Japanese teacher training course.
You have to pass
2 and a final examination.
Since what is necessary is just to clear
the two above-mentioned points which are easy things.
I thought that English capability had to be made to
raise more for that purpose.

There are two kinds of Japanese teachers.
Indicative (only Japanese)
The method of indirect (English is mixed)
I wanted to study an indirect method.
Saying must answer in English,
when a student does not understand.
(English is indispensable)
Was it a last spurt?
Only by the ability to take communication in English,
it is useless.

Since I had visa till September 27,
I decided to carry out that something likes in the meantime.
1, the Japanese teacher training course
2, the sailboat license
3, The Gun shooting
3 were O.K. in Sydney.

I decided to go to Sydney.

August 13, 1999.
Safely, it became a linguistic school end.
Results are secret.
(Direction to worry E-mail it pleases)
But, one thing which it can boast of occurs.
I am 100% of percentage of attendance.
(If it will rest at least one day, it is not 100%)
And the house which had been indebted
for a long time is separation.

August 15, 1999.
Separation is hard.
Also Thank you very much for everything.
I`ll never forget you.
Father, Mother, and an eyeful of a tear and me.
It stopped at the dormitory for three days.
The ticket of an airplane was able to take only 18 days.

August 18, 1999.
First Sydney (it is a big city),
The dormitory was looked for in the airport.
Since English was improving rather than before, it was reliable so.
It was found and called the attractive place
and reservation was put in.
When the taxi stand was looked for,
"Whether it was OK"
was said from the woman.
It was also said in Japanese.
"if it is a Japanese, it understands"
it was a thing that Japanese people understand
her immediately to my question
(Incidentally the people from Chinese people
and Taiwan and my Japanese look the same) .
It thanked for and I separated,
after hearing the taxi stand.
It went into the four-person room in the dormitory.
Two British and me (vacant one bed).
Since I was tired,
I am sleeping without also taking a shower.
The dormitory at which I stayed was
located in the Kings Cross area.
When it compares to Japan,
it is near Shinjuku Kabuki-cho. Slightly, it is unsafe.
(Kings Cross is the shopping quarter of
No. 1 in the Southern Hemisphere) It is said

August 19, 1999.
It is the search for a school today.
Several schools were checked when it was in Brisbane.
But, I cannot feel easy until it actually sees a school.
Therefore, after seeing,
I thought the method of an arrangement.
Some were seen, and after turning, there was one only
"this is good."
(The woman who is a receptionist in short was a beauty ?)
It proposed instantly.
It was needed for the English class during the morning.
It is a Japanese teacher training course in the afternoon.

August 20, 1999.
There was a test of English capability.
And I met suddenly the child who went to the linguistic school
same at the time of Brisbane as surprised.
It was surprised.

August 21, 1999.
Reservation of handgun shooting was put in.
The sailboat school was looked for.

August 22, 1999.
Today is a day of handgun shooting.
It is the handgun gained only after being born.
I was such a fearful feeling which is glad.
Although 38 calibers are not so much powerful,
44 Magnum and 357 Magnum are uncanny.
It is touch that an arm is firmly held back if not had.
Finally the shotgun was shot.
Honestly, I thought whether the shoulder separated.
You were said for a sense to be good from the instructor.
(I surely think that it has said to everybody)

August 23, 1999.
The school began from today.
It is an English class during the morning.
There were few Japanese people than the time of Brisbane.

August 26, 1999.
It is a Japanese teacher training course
from today in the afternoon.
I am a thing with sufficient fate, and a teacher.
Man to man could show.
It was the thing of only a teacher reason and a "battle."
While I have a teacher teach,
1 hour of the next day will be taught.
(This method was good when thinking later)
Although I let in the afternoon those
who want to study Japanese know,
the number of students fluctuated by Sun.
Since he wanted to let as many people as possible
somehow know, the villa was stuck in the school.
(of course, permission was obtained)
Luckily, several persons or the student of fixation was able to do.
To it, teaching materials were also built personally.
If the Japanese teacher is aimed at,
is it making teaching materials (data) personally ?

An English class is August 23～September 17.
Is it review of the Brisbane time?
A Japanese teacher class is August 26～September 10.
End examinations are a written examination and practical skill.

Although neither a written examination nor practical skill was
confident, I thought that especially practical skill might be useless.
A principal also participates as one of students.
And it evaluates about how every student teaches me.
He was asked, "It taught. How was it?",
when students went away and it became a principal,
the teacher of charge, me, and three persons.
I answered
"It is more difficult than learning to teach",
after considering a few.
The principal and the teacher of charge
went away from the classroom once.
For a while, it became only me.
Time to wait for an examination result was fairly felt long.
It was really glad,
when two persons returned and it was called "success.
(if the written examination is more satisfactory)
The principal said.
"It was good, even if it teaches in this school,
if masa is motivated" was said. Was it glad?
But it refused.
There was no confidence committed in a strange land.

September 11, 1999.
Is the rest a sailboat?
It challenges from today towards sailboat license acquisition.
It is the first experience.
An attendance student is an all the members Aussie.
It navigates by one instructor and four students in one sailboat.
But since it is an all the members amateur,
it does not move easily.
It is exceptional to see an opera house from the sea.
Since a look is a top from the bottom,
it is also the touch to look up at.
There were not only a male but much those female.
It was interesting direction a rope connects.
An Aussie has many awkward people.
Very well, it had taken time.
Onboard, naturally a hat is worn.
I was wearing the hat got when it was in Brisbane.

But, this did not arrange

Sydney and Brisbane have bad relations

Brisbane = XXXX
Sydney = vb

It is "XXXX" if beer is drunk in Brisbane.
It is "vb" if beer is drunk in Sydney.
Let's be cautious also of the brand of the beer to drink.

September 14, 1999.
Isn't that the license of a sailboat
can be taken in four days believed?
(It does not think in Japan)
But, I had the license delivered today.
It was really easy.
But, there is an oral exam.
I think that those who do not understand
English at all are impossible.
